Jeep has updated its 2025 Meridian SUV. This car is now stronger, safer, and more comfortable for families. Jeep has made changes both in India and other countries.
More Power in Global Model
In countries like Brazil, Jeep has added a new diesel engine in the Meridian. This engine is 2.2 litres in size. It gives 200 horsepower and 450 Newton-metre torque. This means the car goes faster and uses less fuel. It can reach 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 9.7 seconds. Its mileage is now better, around 15.5 kilometres per litre.
But this engine is not yet available in India. Jeep has not said if it will come to India soon.
New 4×4 Variant in India
In India, Jeep has brought back the 4×4 version of the Meridian Limited (O) model. This model was removed in 2024 but is now back due to demand. It comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that gives 170 horsepower and 350 Newton-metre torque. It has a 9-speed automatic gearbox and 4-wheel drive. This helps the car run smoothly on bad roads or hills.
The price of this new variant is around ₹36.8 lakh (ex-showroom). It also has some extra features like chrome design, new decals, and inside lighting.

The Jeep Meridian is available in four trims:
- Longitude
- Longitude Plus
- Limited (O)
- Overland
All models come with many safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind spot alert. The Overland variant is the top model. It comes with ADAS and optional 4×4 drive. The starting price for the base model is ₹24.99 lakh.

Pros and Cons
People who tested the Meridian say it is very comfortable and good for long trips. The suspension is soft, and the car runs smoothly even on rough roads. The cabin looks premium and stylish.
But there are some small problems too. The third row seats are not very spacious. They are best for kids, not adults. Also, the engine is not very fast in the city. Fuel mileage in traffic is not great either.
Should You Buy?
If you want a strong SUV for family use and long-distance travel, the Jeep Meridian 2025 is a good option. It gives comfort, power, and safety. The new 4×4 model is good for off-road and hill driving. But if you need a full 7-seater with fast pickup, then you may want to check other options too.y
